Take a step back in time when you walk in Hallet’s store.  Built in 1889, this hub of Yarmouth Port social life has provided a gathering place for the community for more than one hundred years.  Built originally as a pharmacy -- complete with a soda fountain and lunch counter -- the store today is operated by the great-grandson of the first owner, the fourth generation of the family to be involved with the business.  Retaining all of its original fixtures and charm, the store still offers old-fashioned sodas, a quick sandwich, and the best ice cream cone in town.  And that’s not all!  After enjoying a treat at the soda fountain, take a peek upstairs at the Hallet Museum.  Using family photographs, objects, and memorabilia, the Hallets created a museum, which reflects the history, not just of one family, but of the entire community.  Whether you are passing through Yarmouth, or staying for awhile, a visit to Hallet’s Store & Museum is a must!
